In this installment of 10 ideas, we were inspired by making low tech more complicated, and the high tech simpler… at the same time. There are so many things in life that could be made easier, more convenient, or more fun simply by removing a step. Of course, that also means turning low tech into high tech. Don’t understand? Terran on High Tech Low Tech
I want to remove the high-tech boat and make the low-tech tubes into high tech. It would be amazing to be able to have a tube that acts as if a boat was pulling it. We could tube without the boat!
River on High Tech Low Tech
My idea was to do away with the high-tech washing machine. We could skip a step if the laundry baskets that collected our clothes were able to clean our clothes. I think we would still need the washing machine for the big messes, but for just slightly dirty clothes, the laundry basket could have some sort of special light or spray that sanitized and made the laundry smell better. That means making the low-tech basket into something high tech.
