10 Ideas Blog

The 10 Ideas Blog was inspired by the words of James Altucher in his National Best Seller, Choose YourselfEach week, we sit down and challenge our brain to come up with ten ideas for new inventions.  This is a great exercise for anyone to participate in, and sometimes we come up with really great concepts (and sometimes, they’re a little crazy!) Our father, Ben Greenfield wrote an article about why this is such a good idea, and you can read that article here.

In this installment of 10 ideas, we were inspired by the things we use most now that summer is over and school is in session, pens and paper! We have some innovative ideas we think will benefit us while we get our school work done quickly and efficiently.

Terran on Getting More Work Done

Since we use a lot of paper at school, I got to thinking about all the different types of paper we could have. Watercolor & acrylic paper would be great for creating works of art with paint. If I wanted to use markers or sharpies, a bleed-proof option would be even better. I did also wonder about why there is a calligraphy pen but not a calligraphy pencil. We could save a lot of wasted paper being able to erase when practicing. The best part is that we are helping the environment at the same time.

River on Getting More Work Done

There are erasable pens out there, but what if we had a universal erasable pen that erased on any type of paper? No more messy scribbles on our schoolwork, books or even our new erasable shirts! And if someone didn’t have access to a computer, I thought it would be a great idea to have a pen that automatically creates different fonts as you write. Essays, papers, and projects could be done without the use of computers and printers. And best of all, our teachers would be able to read everyones writing.
