10 Ideas Blog
In this installment of 10 Ideas, we were inspired by making a simple product something far more interesting. Forks have been used for centuries with very little change in their form. We started to think about what could be done to make forks even more useful, and more interesting.
Terran on Forks
I had a lot of ideas this week that I liked, but when it came to talking about kitchen gadgets, I thought about the times when people are too busy to cook a meal. It would be pretty incredible if the device that we use to eat could also be used to warm or cook our food. Imagine a fork that could be pre-charged, and then brought to school, the office, the gym, or even in the car. Just stick it into the food, and choose a setting. It would heat the food to the desired temperature for you. There would have to be some sort of safety feature that would prevent it from burning when you use it to eat, though. Maybe it could be a quick cool feature.
River on Forks
I just wanted to make my fork something cool to look at, and I was also thinking about the materials that might have been used to make silverware before there was silver. That made me think of creating an antler fork. I pictured this two ways: one is a fork with a handle that is shaped like an antler. The other is a fork carved from antler.
