10 Ideas Blog
The 10 Ideas Blog was inspired by the words of James Altucher in his National Best Seller, Choose Yourself. Each week, we sit down and challenge our brain to come up with ten ideas for new inventions. This is a great exercise for anyone to participate in, and sometimes we come up with really great concepts (and sometimes, they’re a little crazy!) Our father, Ben Greenfield wrote an article about why this is such a good idea, and you can read that article here.
In this installment of 10 Ideas, we were dreaming of all things sugary and sweet. Even those who enjoy healthy living crave a sweet treat from time to time, and we’re pretty convinced that we can make some of those favorite snacks even better with these ideas.
Terran on Sweet Innovation
I, Terran, was thinking about my own favorite snacks. I thought having pecans and walnuts would be even better, if I could open them with a funny, squirrel-shaped opener, and I think that cotton candy would be even better if I could make it from honey. I love honey so much, especially honeycomb. You have to get honeycomb from the bees, and it takes them time to create the delicious sweet. I thought it would be cool to have a make-your-own honeycomb kit.
River on Sweet Innovation
I, River, also like honey – A LOT! I thought a honeycomb shaped lollipop would be awesome (Maybe Terran could make me one with his honeycomb maker!) I love the idea of making or customizing my own candy. Imagine if you could create your very own jelly bean flavors with a sweet customizable jelly bean kit. Customizable skittles could be just as fun. Everyone has a favorite flavor. You could make an entire bag of your favorite, or you could create your very own skittle.
