10 Ideas Blog
The 10 Ideas Blog was inspired by the words of James Altucher in his National Best Seller, Choose Yourself. Each week, we sit down and challenge our brain to come up with ten ideas for new inventions. This is a great exercise for anyone to participate in, and sometimes we come up with really great concepts (and sometimes, they’re a little crazy!) Our father, Ben Greenfield wrote an article about why this is such a good idea, and you can read that article here.
Lots of times our 10 ideas are inspired by what we are doing just before we sit down to brainstorm. Just before we made these lists, we had been skiing and we were writing down our ideas in the car. That’s why we had ideas like ‘color changing headlights’ and a ‘heated snow shovel to get rid of ice’. It’s also why we had the following skiing-related ideas:
Terran on Skiing
I, Terran, was really enjoying skiing with mom and imagined that it would be even better if my skis automatically adjusted to the conditions on the mountain. I pictured skis with the ability to change width and length depending on how deep the powder was (how solid the ground was) and the speed that I was traveling down the hill. I think that would make skiing even more fun!
River on Skiing
I, River, just want to get out onto the mountain faster. I don’t like that it takes so long to get ready to go skiing. One of the biggest challenges is putting on ski boots. They are so tight and stiff. If they had ski boots that were easy to put on, but still supportive, that would be amazing! That way we wouldn’t waste so much of our time at the mountain getting ready to go.
You can see some of our other ideas from the week here:
