10 Ideas Blog
Instead of the usual installment of 10 Ideas, this week we share one of River’s best, recent innovations – his new hoodies. After taking a cartooning class in the winter and spring, River found that he really likes to draw his own original characters. He shared a couple of his drawings with his younger cousin, who loved them so much that the family decided that there were probably other girls who would love the characters too. With his dad’s help, River turned the drawings into hoodies.
River on his Hoodies
These sweatshirts are inspired by a cute art style called ‘Kawaii’. I think I started enjoying this artwork after I started wanting to draw animals. This was a simple way to do it and it was still cute! I’m not sure if I want to do this in the future, but it’s fun to do right now! I want to do some ocean drawings or maybe a dragon, but for now dog’s and cats are pretty fun to draw. I draw every day to every other day. I started to learn the basics of this in a Udemy class.
